Jul 2012 (College): Two Blacks on Hour-Long Campus Sex Crime Spree
“York U steps up security after alleged sex assaults” (citytv.com):
York University has stepped up its security patrols after as many as four women reported being sexually assaulted on campus, a representative for the school said.
The women separately described incidents which happened within an hour of each other on Thursday afternoon. All said they were walking either near Vari Hall or the Colonnade when a man approached and spoke to them, then touched them inappropriately as they walked away. In one case, a second man may have been involved.
…
The first suspect is described as black, 23-23 years old, six feet to six-foot-three, 155 to 175 pounds, with a skinny build, thin face, scruffy beard and short black afro. He was last seen wearing dark, baggy jeans, a green shirt with a pattern on it and a baseball cap.
The second man is described as black, five-foot-seven to five-foot-nine, clean-shaven, with a stocky build. He was last seen wearing black sunglasses, a green T-shirt, blue jeans and a black baseball cap.
All four attacks occurred in broad daylight; in two cases, the female students had just stepped off a bus (citytv.com video).
Police soon arrested a suspect, Oshane Leach, even as a fifth victim came forward (cbc.ca).
Toronto police say they have now heard from a total of five women since launching an investigation into a series of recent sexual assaults at York University.
Police initially said they were investigating three reported sexual assaults that occurred outside Vari Hall on the university campus last Thursday.
They announced an arrest of a male suspect on Monday evening.
CBC News has learned that surveillance video helped police make the arrest of the suspect, who is not a student at the university.
Oshane Leach, 20, of Toronto has been charged with three counts of sexual assault, two counts of assault and two counts of criminal harassment.
Jun 2012 (Preschool/Parents): Black Parents Brawl over Cap and Gown Shortage at California Preschool Graduation
Watch the video in “Brawl Breaks Out at California Preschool Graduation” (abcnews.go.com):
A nasty brawl broke out at preschool graduation in California reportedly over a single cap and gown, leaving at least one parent injured and the young graduates wailing.
The fight broke out at Lenicia B. Weemes Elementary School in Los Angeles on June 7 and an unidentified parent posted the video on YouTube this week.
“This all started because my son’s teacher was so unorganized,” the parent wrote below the video. “Basically because of budget issues all the kids had to share a cap and gown for pictures. One of the moms in the video was basically taking over and the other one didn’t like it and told her something about it.”
In the grainy video, a crowd of women can be seen shoving each other, throwing punches and shouting. Children can be heard screaming and at one point, a woman shouts, “Get the kids out! Get the kids out!”
“The sad part was that there was an older lady that got pushed and she actually hit her head on a bookshelf and I rushed to help her but when this other mom rushed in to help us the angry women actually attacked the other mom,” the parent witness wrote.
The school’s Principal Lynn Brown sent a letter home to parents regarding the incident.
“I am saddened to report that a few parents began arguing which resulted in a parent being assaulted and her personal property taken,” Brown wrote. “Through the fast actions of school staff the proper authorities were called and the incident was contained to the classroom and main hallway. The parent thankfully, sustained minor injuries.”
Yes, we should all be thankful only one person was robbed and injured at this… preschool graduation.
May 2012 (High School): 11 Black Students Ambush Two Brothers Outside Texas High School
“11 charged with rioting outside school” (myfoxdfw.com):
Two brothers were jumped after school by a gang of students outside Samuell High School in Dallas. Police are now investigating the fight as a riot.
Denise Augusta said last Wednesday a group of boys followed her sons as they were leaving school.
“Before they reached the car the boys just jumped on them, started kicking them and hitting them and punching them,” she said. “Telling them they were gonna fight them and my son said, ‘If one of you hit me I’m gonna hit you back in defense of myself.’”
The brothers found themselves fighting against multiple boys at the same time. Cellphone video captured the whole thing.
“It was complete chaos and pandemonium. You had people hitting other people’s kids trying to get out of the way,” said Ty Hardaway, the boys’ father. “There was no police presence out here. There was no assistant principal out here.”
Ten of the alleged attackers were arrested and charged with participating in a riot.
“It’s not something that’s very common but in this case it’s based upon the number of people that are involved in the incident and how those people are involved in the incident,” said Craig Miller, Dallas Independent School District’s police chief. “We reaffirmed this with the DA’s office to make sure we were going in the right direction because it is unusual.”
The younger of the two brothers was also charged because of the comment he made about defending himself rather than avoiding the challenge.
The perpetrators and victims are black (myfoxdfw.com video).
Samuell High School is 59% Hispanic, 39% black, and 1% white (greatschools.org).
Apr 2012 (Middle School): Black Gang Videotapes Assault Against Handicapped White Student in Bathroom
“Video shows reported assault at Sumter Co. middle school” (midlandsconnect.com, with video):
The Sumter community is outraged after a video of a what appears to be a teenage boy being bullied in a middle school bathroom surfaced on the internet this weekend.
Sumter School District 2 confirmed the incident Monday morning. The attack occurred after school hours Thursday in one of the boys bathrooms at Hillcrest Middle School in Sumter.
Restrooms will now be locked after school hours, and the school will increase staff presence around the restrooms.
The video, titled “Drop Dude,” was removed from YouTube, but a woman claiming to be the mother of the victim posted the video to her personal Facebook page.
She posted the following statement with the video.
“[My son] is 13 years old in the 8th grade. He has Myotonic Dystrophy (weakening and deterioration of the muscles), a steel bar under his sternum (chest wall) and 2 screws in his right foot…These boys planned this and as you can see went as far as to record it on one of their android phones. They even stated that my son agreed to be involved when they were confronted. He was taken advantage of due to his condition.”
The video shows a boy stuggling against the wall as he is thrown around the bathroom by what appears to be another boy. He is taken into a choke hold and eventually thrown to the floor.
“I thought my knee had been fractured,” the boy told WACH-Fox Monday night.
At least two other individuals appear to be in the bathroom. One person can be heard on the video saying “punch him.”
Apr 2012 (College): Black Woman Holds Small Child in Lengthy Black Brawl at St. Louis Community College
Watch the video at worldstarhiphop.com or youtube.com.
“Video of Meramec College Brawl Goes Viral” (cbslocal.com):
It’s the latest video seen around the world, capturing a huge fight at a St. Louis Community College campus.
The incident, which happened Monday, begins with a woman getting into an argument with another woman while holding her young daughter. One of the women begins to attack the woman as she holds the child.
Eventually, she backs away and puts the child down and the two really start to go after each other.
More fights erupt. At one point, a pile of people rolled around in the bushes while throwing punches at each other.
The first woman even shrieks, “Where’s my baby?!?”
First faculty members, then campus police step in and try and calm things down. A circle of stunned students stood and watched.
Of those involved, three were arrested and charged with assault. Five were expelled from the college.
The students at St. Louis Community College at Meramec are overwhelmingly white, with a tiny black minority (collegestats.org).
Mar 2012 (High School): Samoans and Blacks Fight Hispanics in 5+ Racial Brawls at L.A. County High School
“3 students arrested, 4 hospitalized in Carson High brawl” (contracostatimes.com):
Three students were arrested and four were hospitalized Wednesday following a racially charged fight on the Carson High School campus, sheriff’s deputies and school officials said.
The fight, which reportedly involved dozens of Samoan, black and Latino students, erupted during the campus’ morning nutrition break.
“They were kicking, punching, stomping, using skateboards,” said a student who spoke to the Daily Breeze on his cellphone from a classroom.
Students and teachers said the fight seemed to pit Latino students against black students, and was triggered by a tagging incident.
Altogether, at least five fights broke out, each involving as many as 20 students, they said.
A teacher who spoke on condition of anonymity said the fights began as a confrontation primarily between a group of Latino students and black athletes, but later spread to include other students, some of them Samoans who came to the aid of football and basketball players.
The Latino students, she said, were associated with tagging crews.
“The Samoans stepped on the side of the black kids,” the teacher said. “They don’t relate to the Mexican-American taggers. They see them as much as a problem as the teachers see them.”
Los Angeles Unified School District police and Carson sheriff’s deputies responded to quell the melee.
LAUSD spokeswoman Mayra Ramirez said the campus was placed on a modified lockdown immediately after police broke up the rumble. Students were allowed to leave their classrooms to use the restroom and have lunch.
But another skirmish broke out during the lunch period, the teacher said.
Four students were taken to County Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, some with injuries to their abdomens. Three students were arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon — their feet — for allegedly kicking other students, officials said. One of the students suffered blunt-force trauma, deputies said.
Seven students were cited for fighting, Ramirez said.
Carson Senior High School is 46% Hispanic, 23% Filipino, 19% black, 5% “Pacific Islander,” 2% “Asian,” and 3% white (greatschools.org), which means there are fewer than 200 “Pacific Islanders.” Samoa is certainly in the South Pacific (so Samoans should be recorded as “Pacific Islanders”), whereas the Philippines are considered part of South-East Asia. However, there is more than a little confusion over the terms Samoan, Filipino, and Polynesian/Pacific Islander, especially as they pertain to criminal gangs (gangpreventionservices.org — “Other Pacific Islander groups involved in gang activity may include Filipino gangs,” etc.).
Dec 2011 (College): Black Students Enjoy Videotaping Assault and Robbery of White Student over Missing Sneakers at Dean College
“Caught on Camera” (insidehighered.com):
A disturbing video that surfaced Monday shows a group of students bullying and attacking another student in broad daylight, apparently over his sneakers, in front of Dean College’s administration building. And while the video is drawing plenty of unwanted press for the college, it’s also making for quick disciplinary turnaround.
Nine students have been expelled so far, and no other students are under investigation at this point.
The fight stands out among student altercations for a number of reasons: It took place on campus, in front of the administration building, during the day, with many witnesses. And thanks to the video, in which several students are easily identifiable, the witnesses are no more safe from punishment under campus policies than are the perpetrators.
The video shows a group of about 10 students following an individual down the campus sidewalk. The person who sent the video to the website that posted it said that the student who beat up the victim had his sneakers missing for two weeks, and the victim was wearing the same ones.
The group begins shouting and surrounding the victim, before one student (presumably the one with the missing sneakers) approaches him, saying, “Who’s your man?” When the victim finally puts his hand up to block the student’s repeated advances, the student slaps him to the ground and keeps throwing punches. As the victim’s shoes are torn off and used as a weapon, he tries briefly to fight back but cannot.
Once they seize the sneakers, the students strut around, screaming, and seem content to hang out on the scene being filmed. Some other students walk through and cars pass by.
The victim was hospitalized and released Friday night.”

Dec 2011 (High School/Staff): Black Teacher Stabs Colleague 16 Times with Screwdriver in Crowded Hallway
“Shocked Poughkeepsie school deals with stabbing of teacher; colleague faces felony counts” (lohud.com via amnation.com):
Students, parents and staff are stunned after a Poughkeepsie High School English teacher was accused of stabbing another teacher with a screwdriver about 16 times in a crowded hallway, authorities and witnesses said.
A day after Thursday’s attack, which was recorded on closed-circuit TV, the school is working to address concerns of students, parents and staff.
Ronette Ricketts, 40, of the Town of Poughkeepsie was charged with first-degree attempted assault and second-degree assault, both felonies, and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor. Ricketts is due in City of Poughkeepsie Court this morning.
Cynthia Glozier, 54, a Rhinebeck resident and English teacher at the school, was listed in good condition and was recovering Thursday at Saint Francis Hospital. No students were involved or harmed in the incident, police and school officials said.
A two-hour delay for students is scheduled for today while teachers and staff are to arrive at the regular time. There will be assemblies for students and teachers, and counselors will be available again today, city Schools Superintendent Laval Wilson said. The district also is looking into disciplinary action against Ricketts.
The incident occurred around 10 a.m. Thursday. Ricketts is accused of brandishing a screwdriver and striking Glozier numerous times in the face, back and upper torso in a second-floor hallway, police said. An off-duty police officer working security at the school called 911 and requested an ambulance and additional police, said Detective Sgt. Walter Horton of the city police.
An assistant principal, two teachers and a student helped separate Ricketts and Glozier, Wilson said.
Glozier reportedly approached Ricketts to ask her why she had not attended a staff meeting of the English Department that had been held earlier in the morning. Ricketts said she was busy with parent-teacher conferences, “and then one thing led to another,” Horton said.
Indeed: a simple question, from a white woman to a black woman, led to a brutal screwdriver stabbing.
Oct 2011 (High School): Convention Center and Co-Sponsors Cover Up Huge Black Student Brawl at College Fair
“Job fair canceled after fight breaks out” (wjla.com) is confusing, but the video leaves no doubt as to the race of the troublemakers:
Thousands of students were forced to leave the Washington Convention Center and board buses back to their schools after a fight broke out during a college fair Tuesday morning.
MPD officers were called in when the brawl, which broke out at about 11 a.m., escalated, becoming a potentially dangerous situation.
“A lot of people got scared so everyone started to run out of the building so we decided at that point let’s get everyone on the bus and out of here,” said MPD Assistant Chief Diane Groomes.
At least 10,000 students from Maryland, Virginia and D.C. were attending the national college fair that has been held in a dozen cities prior to coming to the region.
By midday, D.C. police and convention center security were posted to at least one door and the morning and evening segments of the event had been canceled.
Some students from D.C.’s Woodson High School arrived as the event was being evacuated.
“There was a lot of confusion and a lot of people rushing to get in and they didn’t let us get in because it was too much,” said Woodson High School student Andrea Watkins.
Which was it: rushing to get in or starting to run out?
“Fight At College Fair Forces Evacuation” (wamu.org) is similarly uninformative:
Thousands of students were evacuated after a fight broke out at a college fair in the D.C. convention center this morning.
Students were promised the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from approximately 300 universities throughout the U.S. at the Greater Washington National College Fair. But approximately two hours after the event began, a fight broke out among some of the students. Police Chief Cathy Lanier says organizers decided to shut down the event and 12,000 teenagers were asked to evacuate.
She says the fight involved a small group of students. “It’s always that 2 to 5 percent that take 80 percent of our time,” Lanier said after the incident. No one was arrested after the fight.
Actually, “one juvenile, a young man from South-East, was arrested” (wjla.com video). Also note that a fight among 2 to 5 percent of 12,000 attendees would involve 240 to 600 teenagers.
“Fight ends college fair in D.C.” (washingtonpost.com) only adds to the confusion:
A college information session in the District attended by thousands of students was called off Tuesday after fighting broke out, authorities said.
Near the end of the morning session, “a few students started some pushing and pulling,” said a spokesman for the D.C. State Superintendent of Education, a co-sponsor of the event at the Walter E. Washington convention center.
He said everything calmed down after police arrived, and no injuries were reported. A police spokesman reported no arrests.
So a spokesman for the D.C. State Superintendent of Education, who co-sponsored the event, claims that just “a few students started some pushing and pulling,” while a police spokesman contradicts the police department’s statement that “one juvenile, a young man from South-East, was arrested” (wjla.com video). Believable?
The morning event was suspended about 11:45 a.m., and a complaint about noise led to the cancellation by the convention center of a scheduled evening session, said Marc Caposino, a spokesman for the superintendent of education.
He estimated that 7,000 students went to the convention center for the event.
Firstly, the 7,000 figure contradicts the 10,000 minimum from wjla.com and the 12,000 figure from wamu.org.
Secondly, the claim that “a complaint about noise led to the cancellation by the convention center of a scheduled evening session” makes no sense, as explained in “Why did Convention Center cancel College Fair?” (washingtonpost.com):
… Events DC, which operates the convention center, pulled the plug on the 6 p.m. session after a fight broke out among a small group of the estimated 7,000 students who came to the morning session. The morning event, scheduled to end at 1 p.m., was suspended at about 11:45 a.m. and the students were evacuated with assistance from the police.
Note that fighting among just 5 percent, say, of 7,000 students would involve 350 people.
There were no injuries or arrests, according to the D.C. police. … But in a statement Tuesday, Events DC said “disruptive activity” posed unspecified safety considerations for the evening segment, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. — six hours later.
Again, this contradicts the police department’s statement that “one juvenile, a young man from South-East, was arrested” (wjla.com video).
But Marc Caposino, communications director for OSSE, which co-sponsored the event with the National Association for College Admission Counseling, said he was told by other District officials that it was not security concerns but a complaint about noise that led to the scuttling of the evening program.
Another spokesman for another co-sponsor. Does his story hold up?
Caposino said he was told the complaint came from another group using the center that day. The calendar on the convention center site shows only one other event scheduled for Tuesday: LeadingAge (formerly known as the American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging), an association of non-profits, was in the third day of a four-day annual meeting. According to the official conference schedule the Tuesday session ended at 5 pm, an hour before the College Fair evening session was set to begin.
So, what noise?
Mar 2011 (High School/Staff): Black Students and Racist Black Bus Driver Aunt Assault White Student and Her Parents in Oklahoma
News 9 in Oklahoma claims that a “racially motivated fight broke out on a John Marshall High School bus,” in which “parents and the bus driver were also involved” (news9.com):
As the school bus pulled into the intersection at N.W. 69th Street and Drexel Boulevard, a large fight broke out on board the bus. Witnesses say several black students and a white student began fighting.
In reality, a 13-year-old white student, Lexi Holeman, was “jumped by several black students” (news9.com). She also got “her head slammed up against a window several times” (news9.com).
It was the culmination of two years of racial harassment at John Marshall High School (news9.com):
“She has been held against her will in a bathroom, she’s been slapped. You name it, they do it. They throw stuff at her. They hit her with things. They throw pencils at her,” said Coleman.
News 9 also claims that “the bus driver, who’s black, tried to break up the fight, but the parents of the white student saw the fight and also jumped on the bus” (news9.com):
At that point, witnesses say the parents and the bus driver began fighting and racial slurs were exchanged.
In reality, the bus driver was the aunt of one of the attackers (foxnews.com) and, incredibly, joined her niece in the beating of Lexi Holeman (news9.com):
“She [the bus driver] took her hand, slammed it up underneath Lexi’s neck, hard and told her she was not getting off her bus,” Holeman said.
As for the “fighting” and “racial slurs, “the bus driver attacked Lexi’s father when he tried to intervene; called both her parents “several white racial slurs,” including “cracker,” but mostly too offensive to broadcast (news9.com); and threatened to “beat [her] ass” (news9.com):
“She attacked my husband and all he was doing was trying to save our daughter,” said Carrie Holeman, the mother of the 13-year-old white student involved in the fight. “She then got off the bus, took off her earrings and started calling me ‘cracker’ and said she was ‘going to beat my ass’, too.”
Carrie Holeman will not let her daughter return to John Marshall High School (news9.com):
“I had to take my daughter to the ER and was there till after midnight,” said Carrie Holeman. “The district has left me with no answers.”
“She has been tormented every day,” Holeman said. “I don’t know why they are targeting my daughter.”
Holeman said she has complained to the school once a week for two years, and to the district too but claimed nothing was done.
[Tierney Cook with the Oklahoma City Public School district] confirmed the principal and the district have received complaints from Holeman. She also confirmed the bus driver involved in Monday’s incident will not be driving a bus through the rest of this week.
Watch more News 9 coverage at youtube.com.
Later, Lexi’s parents sued the Oklahoma City Public Schools and school administrators “for failing to protect their daughter from bullying, harassment and abuse” (absolutelawfirm.com):
In a lawsuit filed Friday in the District Court of Oklahoma County, Carrie and Henry Holeman, claim damages for prior acts of bullying and harassment upon their daughter. The Holemans allege school administrators failed to appropriately address the bullying of their daughter for two school years, which led to the October 18, 2010 attack on their daughter while she rode home on an Oklahoma City Public Schools bus.
In that incident, several other students pushed the Holeman’s daughter to the ground and began violently attacking her. Henry Holeman, tried rushing onto the school bus in order to rescue his daughter, but the bus driver immediately thwarted his attempts by removing him from the school bus. The Holeman’s daughter continued to receive punches and kicks, until being removed from the bus by her mother, Carrie Holeman. “I was just doing what any parent would do if they were in my situation and saw their daughter being attacked,” says Carrie Holeman. “We want this to be an example and a statement for other victims.”
The lawsuit alleges that the bus driver physically assaulted Henry Holeman and his daughter, and actively prevented her from leaving the school bus safely. The Holemans also allege that their daughter suffered physical and emotional damages because of bullying and the October 18th attack. The lawsuit seeks damages in excess of $75,000.00.

Dec 2009 (High School): 11 Arrested as 60 Students Brawl and Attack School Police after Black-Hispanic Gang Confrontation
“School beefs up security after campus brawl” (abclocal.go.com):
There are extra police are on campus at De Anza High School in Richmond Friday after a massive fight involving an estimated 60 students.
The brawl began around 1:30 p.m. Thursday and officials quickly locked the school down.
Police arrested 11 students and charged them with fighting on campus; some will also face charges of assaulting campus security.
Investigators say it is still unclear exactly how the fight began, but ABC7 media partner The Contra Costa Times reports that it started when a black student approached a Hispanic student and told him his gang was no longer welcome on campus.
De Anza High School is 27% black, 35% Hispanic, 14% Asian, 9% Filipino, and 13% white (greatschools.org). You can take in the wonders of De Anza’s diversity at youtube.com.
Oct 2009 (High School/Rape): White Girl Lured Outside California High School Homecoming Dance by White Friend for Gang Rape and Beating by Black and Hispanic Mob
The crime: “Police detectives shocked at remorseless suspects in gang rape of San Francisco-area girl, 15″ (nydailynews.com):
The shocking gang rape of a 15-year-old San Francisco-area girl was awful enough. But what has shaken even veteran cops is the complete lack of remorse shown by at least some of the suspects arrested in the case.
It’s “disgusting” and “the worst thing I’ve heard of,” Richmond Detective Ken Greco, who has been on the force for 29 years, was quoted in The San Francisco Chronicle.
The victim was found semiconscious beneath a picnic table after being brutalized by up to 10 suspects for about two hours.
“She was raped, beaten, robbed and dehumanized by several suspects who were obviously okay enough with it to behave that way in each other’s presence,” police Lt. Mark Gagan told the Chronicle.
“What makes it even more disturbing is the presence of others,” Gagan said. “People came by, saw what was happening and failed to report it.”
“This just gets worse and worse the more you dig into it,” Gagan told CNN. “It was like a horror movie after looking at the evidence. I can’t believe not one person felt compelled to help her.”
The Chronicle reported that five suspects are in custody after police picked up three people Tuesday night. But investigators think there were as many as 10 assailants, ranging in age from 15 to their early 20s. The young men laughed and shot photos as they took turns assaulting the girl, police said.
“Based on witness statements and suspect statements, and also physical evidence, we know that she was raped by at least four suspects committing multiple sex acts,” Gagan said.
“As people announced over time that this was going on, more people came to see, and some actually participated,” Gagan said.
Indeed, “[p]olice suspect that at least ten young males were directly involved in the multiple rapes while at least two dozen watched, many laughing and cheering and taking pictures” (yahoo.com).
Again, those two dozen or more bystanders “stood around cheering, taking pictures, laughing, and going in and out of the still ongoing homecoming dance to inform others of what was transpiring outside the school” (yahoo.com).
Some of the informed came out to observe and may have participated in the gang rape as well. … A former Richmond High School student called 911 after the incident when they overheard a conversation between young males bragging about the gang rape.
We present more details of the crime itself below.
The rapists: Charged in connection with the rape and beating were Cody Smith (15), who is white; Marcelles Peter (18) and John Crane Jr. (43), who are black; and Elvis Torrentes (23), Ari Abdallah Morales (17), Jose Carlos Montano (19), and Manuel Ortega (20), who are Hispanic (picture below; see baycitizen.org).

Top row, left to right: John Crane Jr., Manuel Ortega, Jose Montano. Bottom row, left to right: Elvis Torrentes, Marcelles Peter, Ari Morales.
Cody Smith lured the victim to the scene (see below), but a judge eventually ordered him released “after ruling that police violated his rights during interrogation” (baycitizen.org). As for the others:
“Hey man,” a detective said Peter recalled Torrentes saying. “There’s, like, some drunk chick over there having sex with a bunch of guys.”
According to the testimony, after she had passed out, witnesses identified Montano as the first to rape the victim. Morales told police he took the girl’s ring, urinated on her and stuck the antenna of a stolen school walkie-talkie into her vagina. Peter told detectives he had fondled the victim, according to testimony. At some point during the attack, Cashman alleged that another man, 44-year-old John Crane, also raped the victim. Police said they found remnants of Crane’s semen on the victim’s genitals, buttocks and mouth. But no one recalled seeing Crane at the scene that night, according to the testimony.
Manuel Ortega, who started the whole thing, is particularly disgusting.
Detectives said that after the victim collapsed, Ortega removed her underwear and pantyhose. Witnesses said Ortega first tried to force the victim to perform oral sex and began punching her and kicking her in the head when she either refused or was unable.
Upon his arrest at the scene, when not trying to bite the arresting officer, he had the following to say, among other things (baycitizen.com, baycitizen.org, monster.com):
- “I wasn’t the only one, there was hella people. She wanted it.”
- “[The victim's name] wanted it. She was so drunk, she didn’t even know what was going on. [The victim's name] wanted the dick. She wanted all of us.”
- “I didn’t do shit wrong. We was all drinking and that bitch wanted me to fuck her.”
- “I just wanted to pimp her out.”
- “Just shoot me in the head, I don’t care” and/or “I won’t judge you”
The 15-year-old victim was eventually revealed to be white (baycitizen.org and contracostatimes.com — the latter requires a subscription, so see vdare.com or amnation.com).
Richmond High School is 78% Hispanic, 10% black, and 7% Asian, but only 2% white (greatschools.org). Does the victim qualify as a “minority”?
The charges: According to Richmond Police Lieutenant Mark Gagan (yahoo.com),
Richmond Police would request charges of rape, rape in concert with violence, penetration with a foreign object and a special enhancement requesting life in prison. “The charges accurately reflect the severity of the suspect’s actions,” he said.
Ultimately, the younger rapists were charged as follows (ktvu.com).
The three juveniles [Cody Ray Smith, Marcelles Peter, Ari Morales] have been charged as adults with rape by a foreign object while acting in concert. Morales has also been charged with robbery, according to the criminal complaint.
Ortega has been charged with forcible rape while acting in concert, assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury, and robbery.
Montano has been charged with forcible rape while acting in concert and rape by a foreign object while acting in concert.
Torrentes has been charged with rape by a foreign object of a person unable to resist due to intoxication, rape by a foreign object while acting in concert and rape while acting in concert, Cashman said.
All of the defendants except for Torrentes also face enhancements that make them eligible for a life sentence, according to Cashman.
43-year-old John Crane Jr. “surrendered at the Richmond Police Department around 7:30 p.m. and was booked on felony sexual assault charges” (sfist.com).
The white guy: Cody Ray Smith was apparently the only white person involved in the gang rape besides the victim. Although a judge freed him, he should of course be executed forthwith along with the other rapists. However, it is worth examining his special role in the assault.
Smith was the victim’s friend, and lured her to the courtyard on that basis (baycitizen.org). Presumably she would not have followed any of the other rapists.
Cody Ray Smith, 16, whom [the victim] identified as a friend and student at Richmond High, approached her and asked if she wanted to have a drink with him and his friends.
The student told Greco that she thought to herself, “Why not? I’ve known him [Cody] since seventh grade.”
She said that she and Cody walked over to the picnic tables in the courtyard where some people were sitting. There was at least one bottle of alcohol, which she thought contained brandy, and she recalled them passing it around and “chugging” it.”
This is one of the few things the victim remembers (sfgate.com):
As [the victim] walked out of the high school, a friend and now a defendant, Cody Smith, told her to “come over here,” the victim said, according to Rea. When the teen went to where Smith directed her, she got dizzy, fell down, and someone helped her up.
After that, Rea testified, “she doesn’t remember anything at all until she was at the hospital with a tube down her throat.”
The girl also had one other memory. “She remembered someone holding the bottle up so she couldn’t stop drinking,” Rea testified.
More on the crime: Read more in “Richmond Rape Victim: ‘Do My Parents Know?’” (baycitizen.org):
[Kenneth Greco, a former detective with the Richmond Police Department] testified that following the interview with the alleged victim, Greco and a colleague conducted interviews with defendants Manuel Ortega, 20, and Ari Morales, 17, which revealed crude, graphic details of the night.
During an hour-long interview with Detective Greco, Manuel Ortega, who was arrested at the scene, recalled the alleged victim collapsed by a wall in the corner of the courtyard, vomited, and was raped while as many as 20 people watched.
“More people kept coming,” Ortega told Detective Greco during the interview. Ortega said people were taking photos of the victim with their cell phones.
Ortega said the student was on the ground, kicking and saying, “no, no” and said he struck her repeatedly to “make her shut up.”
Greco testified that Morales told the detectives that when he first arrived on the scene, Elvis Torrentes, 23, Rodriguez, Ortega, and five other friends were there. He said the girl was lying on the ground, awake, but whining and moaning — “really out of it.”
After Rodriguez left, Greco testified that Morales told detectives Ortega tried to force a sexual act on the incapacitated girl, got mad, and that she lost consciousness as Ortega was beating her.

Detectives continued searching for more suspects Wednesday. They can only estimate how many participated in the rape — perhaps seven — after the victim fell into a drunken stupor in their in their company.
Police say the victim left the dance about 9:30 p.m. and walked north on 23rd Street, intending to phone her father for a ride home. But before she did, a classmate called to her from behind a chain-link fence that separates a campus courtyard from the street.
“Her friend called to her, then hopped the fence and escorted her” up Emeric Avenue to a low gate that led into a campus parking lot, Lt. Mark Gagan said.
They joined a group of teens and young adults hanging out and drinking in the poorly lit courtyard.
The victim drank a large amount of brandy in a short period of time while socializing, police said, then collapsed. Someone dragged her to a bench, where several people stripped her, beat her, stole her jewelry and other belongings, and raped her.
The sexual assault continued for about two hours, detectives estimate, with several young men and boys taking part, possibly including some who arrived after the attack began, as word spread.
“Richmond Homecoming Gang Rape Suspects Plead Not Guilty” (ktvu.com):
“The word that always comes to my mind in this particular case is callous,” [Senior Deputy District Attorney Dara Cashman] said. “It’s very cold and callous. We have some rape cases and even rapes in concert where the injuries are tremendous and where the conduct is extremely brutal. This is certainly up there in those types of cases, but it also has a very cold, callous element to it because of the fact that there were so many people and very little effort to help her.”
“With Detective’s Testimony, Even More Unsettling Details Emerge from Richmond High Gang Rape Case” (sfist.com):
According to Bay City News on the Appeal, [retired Richmond Police Detective Ken Greco] testified that one of the seven defendants told the detective he backhanded the victim across her face. Another defendant, 20 year-old Manuel Ortega, allegedly told the detective that the victim protested and screamed for help. The full report of Ortega’s graphic testimony, is admittedly difficult to get through, but also details constantly changing stories from the defendants.
Ari Morales, who is 17 but being tried as an adult, allegedly gave multiple accounts of the night — first claiming “All I did was pee on her and take her ring” before later admitting to inserting a walkie-talkie antenna into the victim “out of silliness.” BCN also reports that Morales later revealed to Detective Greco that he saw Ortega “kneeling on the ground trying to force the victim to give him oral sex. When she didn’t do it, he allegedly started beating and ‘torturing’ her.”

Sep 2009 (High School): Blacks Laugh and Cheer as Two Savagely Attack White Student for Sitting by Them on Bus
“Police say bus attack may not be racially motivated” (examiner.com):
Belleville Illinois police are now backtracking from earlier statements that a school bus beating was racially motivated.
The St. Louis Dispatch quotes Belleville Police Chief Capt. Don Sax as saying “The incident appears now to be more about a couple of bullies on a bus dictating where people sit.”
Yesterday, Sax told reporters he thought the two black teens beat the victim because the victim is white.
Belleville West High School suspended the two attackers for 10 days pending an expulsion hearing, according to the Dispatch. Three other students are reportedly suspended for five days for encouraging the attack through laughter and chants.
The Dispatch says white parents have complained about racial tensions at the school.
Watch the video of the two separate attacks at youtube.com, youtube.com, cbcsnews.com, and bnd.com.
May 2008 (High School): 600 Black and Hispanic Students in Racial Melee at South LA High School
“Rival Latinos and blacks start melee on South L.A. campus” (latimes.com):
A fight between rival groups of black and Latino students at Locke High School quickly escalated into a campus-wide melee Friday, with as many as 600 students brawling until police restored calm with billy clubs.
The troubled campus in South Los Angeles was locked down after the fight broke out at 12:55 p.m., as students returned from lunch to their fifth-period classes. Overwhelmed school officials called Los Angeles police for help, but students and faculty said it took about half an hour before dozens of officers, many in riot gear, restored order.
“The kids were crazy, running from place to place, jumping on other kids,” said Reggie Smith, the school’s band director, who said he ran to pull his students from the melee. “Some of my kids were crying because they were walking to class with friends and they got jumped.”
Susan Cox, an LAUSD spokeswoman, said police arrested four people — three students for fighting and one non-student for illegal possession of a knife. Four students were treated in the school nurse’s office for minor injuries.
The campus at 111th and San Pedro streets has long been one of the city’s most troubled. This school year has been particularly difficult, with near-daily fights — albeit on a much smaller scale — during much of the fall and winter.
“Morale has really dropped because they don’t feel like they have everybody behind them,” cheerleading coach Marlo Jenkins said recently. “There are just fights upon fights upon fights now.”

Feb 2007 (High School/Vocational School): Black Student “Angry over Lack of Black History Classes” Stabs 3 with Screwdriver
“Florida Technical School Student Angry Over Lack of Black History Classes Stabs 3 With Screwdriver” (foxnews.com):
A 25-year-old student angry that his technical school wasn’t teaching about black history walked into his business class Friday and stabbed three school officials with a screwdriver, police said.
Kevin Mair of Plantation walked into his classroom at Atlantic Technical Center using a cane and sound-blocking headphones similar to those used in a gun range, said Officer Anthony Avello of the Coconut Creek Police Department.
Mair became agitated and “expressed his displeasure about the lack of black history being taught at the school,” Avello said. February is Black History Month.
The teacher asked Mair to leave and called for staff assistance, he said.
Mair then attacked the three victims with a screwdriver he took to school, officials said. An assistant director of the school was stabbed in the back and two security specialists in the arms. The three were later released from the hospital.
Mair fled in his car, was involved in a car crash and tried to run from officers but was apprehended.
He will be charged with multiple counts of aggravated battery, authorities said.
Atlantic Technical Center is 36% black, 30% Hispanic, and 26% white (movoto.com).
Dec 2006 (College): “I Own You, White Girl” — Black Woman Savagely Attacks, Chokes, Spits on Random White Teenager
“NCCC: Racially motivated attack reported” (lockportjournal.com):
Security officials at Niagara County Community College are escorting a student to her classes after she was beaten in the hallway of Building E about noon on Wednesday, according to the Niagara County Sheriff’s Department.
The student, an 18-year-old female from Lewiston, reported the attack to the Sheriff’s Department on Saturday.
The victim told deputies she was text messaging a friend when she noticed a black woman in her 20s. The woman said, “What are you looking at Whitey?”
The victim walked away, but was pulled back by her hair and had her head smashed against the wall. She fell to the floor where the attacker kicked her in the head, choked her and repeatedly punched her.
The beating lasted about a minute.
The victim told deputies she did not know the assailant, who said after the beating, “Now you will know who I am. I own you, white girl.”
The assailant spit at her and asked her if she was going to cry now.
The victim screamed for help, but the class was in session at the time and there was nobody around.
According to Deputy Joe Tortorella, the victim was not sure the attacker was a student.
“It was an unprovoked attack,” he said.
The victim sustained a laceration to her left eyebrow, bruises on her right eye and bruises on her neck and shoulder areas. She was not treated at the scene but iced her injuries and treated herself at home.
She said that she had never seen the woman before. The attacker, a black female, wore a large gold name chain hanging from her neck and had numerous gold rings on her fingers.
Oct 2006 (High School): Black-Hispanic Tensions Explode in Race Riot at California High School
“Fontana students blame riot on simmering racial tension” (sbsun.com):
Some students blamed Friday’s riot at Fontana High on long-simmering racial tensions.
Jonathan Scott, 19, stopped by his alma mater to help out as a student assistant before the riot resulted in classes being dismissed. He said tensions between blacks and Latinos have been around for years.
“That I know for sure they have some issues with each other,” Scott said. Many times racial slurs cause problems, the college student said.
[Fontana police Sgt. Doug Wagner] did say the incident occurred after a Latino student and a black student got into a verbal dispute. The situation escalated when more students jumped in. He said things got out of control when some Samoan students became involved.
Antonio Albarez, 16, a junior, said he saw a Latino student pull a fire alarm, and as it rang, students left classrooms and a crowd formed. The Latinos and blacks were pushing each other, he said.
“They kicked everyone out in the street,” he said. “People were throwing rocks at the police cars.”
“It’s still not settled,” Gilbert said of the tension among students. “There will be more.”
Stephanie Flores, 16, a junior, said she had heard rumblings for a couple of weeks about a potential fight between blacks and Latinos.
“They’ve been trying to do this before. They just decided to do it today,” she said.
Fontana High School is 88% Hispanic, 4% black, and 6% white (greatschools.org).
Apr 2006 (High School): Students Frightened after Four Feces-Throwing Blacks Break White Honor Student’s Nose
“Students Demand More Security” (Chicago Sun-Times via amren.com):
At least 150 students played hooky from Kennedy High School on Tuesday to demand extra security in their Southwest Side school, saying they’d even welcome cops in the classroom to stem rising violence.
Toting signs reading “Does Someone Have to Die?” and “We’re Scared of School,” kids rallied across the street from Kennedy in the wake of a brutal beating last week that stunned the school.
[...]
Four Kennedy students have been charged with misdemeanor battery for pummeling a senior honor student and breaking his nose during a March 29 meeting of all seniors in the school auditorium. Witnesses said the attackers threw feces at the victim. The motive was uncertain.
The week before that, a loaded gun was found in the bushes outside the school auditorium.
Could this have been racially motivated, one wonders.
Q. Was this a hate crime?
A. Although the victim was white and the alleged attackers were black, “there doesn’t appear to be any indication that this would be a hate crime,” [Chicago Police spokeswoman Monique] Bond said.
One wonders if Miss Bond — whose responsibilities apparently include “making it harder to report on the schools” (chicagoreader.com) — would exhibit similar skepticism if four white students broke a black student’s nose and threw feces at him — an event which, as far as I know, has never taken place.
Kennedy High School in Chicago, IL is 51% Hispanic, 36% white, and 12% black (greatschools.org).
Mar 2006 (High School): Black Gang Attacks “Frailest” White Students to Establish “Black-Only” Bus Stop in Davenport
“Davenport police say they are keeping eyes on problem area” (qctimes.com):
An incident in which a student’s jaw was broken at a Davenport city bus stop may have been the result of ongoing racial tensions between some juveniles, police said Wednesday.
Anthony Matthew Hall-Clark, 16, of 2214 Farnam St., has been charged in Scott County District Court with felony willful injury causing serious injury. He was out of custody Wednesday and his next court date is March 30.
Police said there has been an ongoing series of incidents at the bus stop in the 1700 block of Main Street, a block south of Locust Street, and the incidents have escalated in their level of violence.
According to a Davenport police report, school officials told police a group of black students has been trying to make it a “black-only” bus stop and has been picking on the “frailest” white students.
The police report said officers do not know whether the incident that occurred at 2:50 p.m. Friday stemmed from the ongoing problems, but it noted that Hall-Clark is black and the victim is white.
The police affidavit alleges that the suspect went up to the victim and punched him in the right side of the face for no apparent reason. The suspect then ran away, but he was identified by an adult school official who witnessed the incident, according to the report.
Feb 2006 (Middle School): Black Middle-School Gangs Constantly Victimize Terrified White Minority of Eight
“School Attacks Terrify Gary Student at Bailly” (Merrillville Post-Tribune via amren.com):
Terrified to return to his new school in Gary, Tokarski said he fends off nightmares and is still healing from black eyes and bruises to his back.
The 14-year-old boy claims he enrolled at Bailly Middle School Feb. 3 and has been harassed ever since.
Since then, according to the Tokarski family, James has been beaten up by groups of kids on three occasions.
He says it’s because he’s white. School officials aren’t confirming that.
“They called me ‘whitey,’ ‘white trash,’ ‘trailer park trash’ and ‘hillbilly’ while they were hitting me,” James Tokarski said. The boy said he simply curled into a fetal position on the ground while he was punched with fists and kicked all over.
[...]
Then, on Feb. 15, according to Barbara and James, a group of kids assaulted him in a school hallway as he waited to enter his social studies class. He says he was knocked unconscious and had to be pulled into a classroom by a teacher.
On Feb. 22, James said he was attacked again while on the playground and also was knocked unconscious.
He said he had to be carried into the school by a group of girls.
The family has filed two police reports and has sought treatment for swellings and discoloration to the left side of James’ face at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Hobart.
The official medical report listed injuries as blunt head trauma, facial contusions and acute sinusitis.

One parent of a white child at the school said it is typical for the seven or eight minority students there to be called “whitey” or “white boy.”
Indeed, as of 2006, Bailly Middle School in Gary, IN was 97% black, with a total white enrollment of 8. (city-data.com).
Nov 2005 (High School): White Student on Lunch Break Beaten Unconscious by Self-Proclaimed “Racist” Black
“Cops Say Student Attacked Because of Color” (Spokane Spokesman-Review via amren.com):
The alleged hate crime attack on a Lewis and Clark High School student came after his attacker said, “I want to beat up one of these white boys,” according to the affidavit of probable cause filed by Spokane police.
Tyson Leroy Brown, 21, of Spokane was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of malicious harassment, a Class C felony hate crime. Brown also had an unrelated warrant from Oregon, according to a Spokane police news release.
The 15-year-old victim was intentionally and maliciously assaulted due to his race, according to the affidavit obtained Friday.
The victim is white, and the alleged attacker is black.
Brown is accused of walking up to the student and knocking him unconscious with a punch to the head, then kicking the student as he was on the ground. The attack occurred Wednesday during a lunch break across the street from Lewis and Clark. The victim was treated and released at a hospital.
Brown was arrested a few blocks away. While he was being taken to jail, a police officer said Brown called himself a “racist,” according to the affidavit. He added, “I should have kicked him until he’d never get up . . . I’m a racist, and I hate all you white boys.”
Jan 2005 (High School): Black Gangs Videotape Assaults Against White Students on “White Wednesdays”
“Fights at Bear Creek High cause worry” (recordnet.com):
Concerns about racial violence are high at Bear Creek High School, where one student was arrested last week and two others have been suspended after attacks on white students, Stockton police and Lodi Unified officials said Friday.
The arrest came after a student was beat up near the school gym on Wednesday. In a separate incident the same day, another teen was attacked in a boys’ bathroom.
In both cases, the victims — ages 15 and 16 — were white and their alleged assailants were Black, police and school officials said.
Both victims suffered minor injuries. School officials say they also have yet to find any videotape of the assaults, even though the victims said their attackers were taping the beatings.
[...]
Some parents and students are concerned school officials are ill-equipped to handle the escalating violence.
Debra Kahoalii said a teacher had to escort her 18-year-old son off campus Friday after he felt threatened by a group of Black students.
“They are waiting for white students as they go through the passing periods (between classes and getting them then, or they try to gang up on them at lunch time,” she said.
Bear Creek Principal Bill Toledo said the term “White Wednesday” has been used to describe incidents in which groups of Black students supposedly ambush white students and videotape the attacks.
Some students, however, don’t think the black gangs are just targeting white students: they may also be targeting Hispanic and Asian students. (“Mexican Monday” perhaps? “Asian Stir-Friday”?)
Joseph, a Black 16-year-old Bear Creek sophomore, said the attacks aren’t just focused on one ethnic group. Asian and Latino students aren’t immune to becoming beating victims at the school, where he said gangs, gambling and drugs are common.
[...]
“Black kids fight everybody,” said Joseph, who said he personally has no conflicts with other students.
Bear Creek High School in Stockton, CA is 17% black, 21% white, 28% Hispanic, 24% Asian, and 9% Filipino (greatschools.org).
Jan 2005 (High School): 15 Black Students Ambush and Beat “White Boy” — Black School Officials Cover Up
“Court Master Blasts Meade Principal’s Handling of Fight” (Annapolis Capital via amren.com):
Meade High School administrators botched their investigation of a racially motivated attack at the school in January, failing to protect the victim from a severe beating and hampering the prosecution of the lone student charged, a Circuit Court master said yesterday.
Master Erica J. Wolfe, a judicial officer who oversees juvenile and family cases, said she felt bad for the victim but had no choice in issuing an acquittal.
Before announcing the verdict, she criticized Meade Principal Joan A. Valentine and other school officials in a blistering speech, calling their documentation of the fight — including written statements from witnesses that didn’t have the witnesses’ names — “virtually useless.”
The 17-year-old Meade senior, who is white, was ambushed as he walked down a school hallway during a break in exams, prosecutors said. He was beaten badly, suffering 13 knots on his head.
A group of 10 to 15 African-American students surrounded the Meade High School senior, many jumping up and down and chanting, “White boy, white boy, I go!” before several started punching him, a prosecutor said.
The attack appeared to be random.
Assistant State’s Attorney Michael Bergeson said Principal Valentine refused to give him the names of those witnesses until she was ordered to on Tuesday by Master Wolfe.
[...]
Ms. Valentine, Ms. Sims and the school system official who signed off on their investigation are all African American, prosecutors noted. Mr. Bergeson said the victim testified racially tinged fights aren’t unusual at Meade.
Black perpetrators.
Black school officials.
White victim.
“White boy, white boy, I go!”
So. Did race play a role?
Asked whether he thought race played a role in the investigation, Mr. Bergeson said, “I have no idea.”
Meade High School in Fort Meade, MD is 57% black and 27% white (greatschools.org).
