I cannot explain why the following post degenerated into talk of mechanical Nazi dinosaurs, so don’t even ask.

On February 9, 2012, the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) got more than they bargained for when they permitted a panel, hosted by ProEnglish, called “The Failure of Multiculturalism,” which featured John Derbyshire, Peter Brimelow, Rosalie Porter, and Robert Vandervoort, who delivered Serge Trifkovic’s talk in his absence.

Specifically, they got real conservatism — the so-called alternative right (the other alternative being national suicide).

By all accounts, it was a very enjoyable panel. Vandervoort gave Trifkovic’s speech his best shot; Brimelow confused everyone by talking about French Canadians; Porter celebrated English as our shared language; and John Derbyshire closed with a highly entertaining speech about the future of racism in America (it’s quite bright), during which most of the remaining audience members from, as Derbyshire put it, “a group that, in the generality, underachieves socially and economically,” quietly filed out.

The result? CONTROVERSY!!! I guess. Sort of.

Controversial-ish

The self-proclaimed “People for the American Way” “called on GOP presidential candidates to speak out against the inclusion of a white nationalist leader” at CPAC, the “white nationalist leader” is question being Peter Brimelow. Just look at all the self-evidently horrible things he believes:

Brimelow, an immigrant from Great Britain, has expressed fear of the loss of America’s white majority, blames non-white immigrants for social and economic problems and urges the Republican Party to give up on minority voters and focus on winning the white vote. He said that a New York City subway is the same as an Immigration and Naturalization Service waiting room, “an underworld that is not just teeming but also almost entirely colored.”

Michael Keegan, president of the dubiously named “People for the American Way,” had this to say:

Responsible GOP leaders should speak out against the bigotry and hatred that Brimelow and VDARE push on a regular basis. That’s doubly true of anyone who aspires to the presidency of the United States. Mitt Romney, Newt Gingrich and Rick Santorum need to make it perfectly clear that they won’t be silent when they’re confronted with racism and anti-Semitism.

Racism and anti-Semitism? Good Lord no.

We also learned that the SPLC “lists VDARE as a White Nationalist hate group,” which, considering the SPLC’s track record, is a point firmly in VDARE’s favor.

More pseudo-controversy arises

Something called the “Institute for Research & Education on Human Rights” (IREHR) issued this alert: “White Nationalist to Speak from Podium at CPAC 2012,” the “White nationalist” being Bob Vandervoort, who apparently organized the Chicagoland Friends of American Renaissance while he lived in Illinois and did all sorts of other unremarkable things. You can’t see it, but I’m yawning.

It’s mildly amusing that although the IREHR describes Vandervoort as a “White nationalist,” Brimelow as the “editor of the white nationalist website VDARE,” and Trifkovic as an “Islamophobic Serbian expatriate,” Derbyshire is merely a “contributing editor at National Review.” (Not any more, I guess.)

The American Prospect declared the matter “beyond the pale” — citing, like the so-called “People for the American Way,” the SPLC. The Daily Caller cited the same anti-White racist profiteers; apparently, VDARE is “hateful towards immigrants.” (Grrrr immigrants grrrr, Peter Brimelow was overheard muttering in a restaurant bar that evening. Grrrr.)

The Root equated the White nationalism on display at CPAC 2012 with “the intolerant venom that has been spewed on the GOP presidential campaign trail,” which is profoundly insulting to White nationalism.

NewsOne trumped The Root by characterizing the panel and everyone on it as White supremacist, which, as we all know, is slightly worse than being White nationalist but not quite as bad as wanting to cut off aid to Israel. They use the term seven times, to describe Bob Vandervoort, Peter Brimelow, Jared Taylor, Sam Francis, Virginia Abernethy, Kevin MacDonald, The Political Cesspool, American Renaissance, and the Council of Conservative Citizens.

Michelle Malkin gets a pass.

Salon prefers the terms “white supremacy enthusiasts,” “psychos,” and “America’s most detestable sacks of sh*t” — the latter being Bob and Peter (obviously), who, if the “American experiment” hadn’t gone so dreadfully wrong, would have to resort to “shrieking their ‘defense of Western Civilization’ nonsense for free from a bench outside a subway station.” Admittedly, that is the direction America is heading.

Slate printed a reasonably fair-minded piece about the panel (and conservative dating tips) by David Weigel.

“Racism is alive and well in the Republican Party, it seems,” declared some fat Black guy on Gather. Furthermore, “It is ashamed [sic] that such thoughts exist in this country. America wouldn’t be what it is today without the contribution of all races.” All races, mind you. I bet you racists forgot all about the Pygmies who built the Hoover Dam, not to mention the Australian Aborigines who threw all that tea into Boston Harbor, saved us from the Nazis in World War II, and for good measure, struck down the Berlin Wall using only the power of positive thinking.

And Al Sharpton said something about “hate,” but who really cares?

You’re a winner!

But the award for Worst Anti-White Racism in Response to Bob’s CPAC Panel, as well as a bonus award for Most Jewish Person in the Known Universe, goes to…

Menachem Rosensaft! Or, to use, his full title: Menachem Rosensaft, New York City lawyer, “Founding Chairman of the International Network of Children of Jewish Holocaust Survivors, Vice President of the American Gathering of Jewish Holocaust Survivors and Their Descendants, Chairman of the Editorial Board of the Holocaust Survivors’ Memoirs Project… and a former National President of the Labor Zionist Alliance,” and long-time member of the United States Holocaust Memorial Council, not to mention the son of no fewer than “two survivors of the Nazi concentration camps.”

Menachem seems especially pleased that “he played a key role in convincing the government of Panama not to give sanctuary to Nazi war criminal Karl Linnas,” so that Linnas (67) could die in a prison hospital in the Soviet Union while awaiting trial. (Victory! Over a real live Nazi! Hurray!)

So what does Menachem Rosensaft — Founding Chairman, President, and Supreme Ruler for Life of the Pan-Galactic Alliance Network of Jewish Children of Jewish Nazi Holocaust Survivors of Nazi Concentration Camps and their Jewish Descendants in a Jewish Alliance of Jewish Survivors Against the Nazi Holocaust of Jewish Labor Jewish Zionist Holocaust Jewish Nazi Memoirs… uh, Council — have to say about White nationalism?

Brimelow certainly doesn’t mince words. He told a CBS reporter that US immigration policy, the legal kind, mind you, “is creating a “Spanish speaking underclass parallel to the African American underclass.”

It’s the legal kind of mass immigration, so you have to allow it.

The ADL has been following Brimelow’s activities for some time. In February of 2009, the organization tells us, “Brimelow demonstrated his racist views” at “a conference of racists in Baltimore, Maryland, dedicated to ‘Preserving Western Civilization.’” There, Brimelow “delivered one of the most extreme presentations at the conference. He argued that the influx of “non-traditional” immigration is a problem all over the Western world and that the loss of control over the country by “white Protestants” will mean a collapse of the American political system. He urged that whites respond by creating an explicitly white nationalist political party.”

Hmm? An “explicitly white nationalist political party”? Where have we heard that before?

Answer: NAZIS! Hordes of Nazis! Led by HITLER! Building CONCENTRATION CAMPS! For JEWS! If you oppose immigration, you hate JEWS!

Full disclosure: I oppose immigration, and since discovering Menachem (expert hunter of elderly Nazis, and leader in the fight against ever letting go of what “Germany” did), I sort of hate Jews too.

In an August 22, 2006, article, Brimelow called US immigration policy “Adolf Hitler’s posthumous revenge on America.” On February 15, 2011, he wrote that, “As immigration policy drives whites into a minority, this type of interest-group ‘white nationalism’ will inexorably increase.”

HITLER

In an October 6, 2009, article Brimelow wrote that, “it’s still ‘about race’. It is no coincidence, comrades, that the backlash is overwhelming white. Whites in America voted heavily against Obama. White Protestants (‘let’s face it, they are America’ — Phillip Roth, American Pastoral, p. 311) still make up nearly half (42%) the electorate and they voted 2-1 for McCain. But are even 4% of Obama’s appointments white Protestants?”

HITLER

Following the 2008 presidential election, Brimelow told the H.L. Mencken Club in Baltimore, Maryland, that “McCain should have portrayed Obama as the affirmative-action candidate. It would have been so easy. All he had to do is get up and say it.” President Obama, Brimelow went on, would eventually do something “that will start to shock people right away. I think that whites — that is to say, Americans — will organize.”

SUPER-HITLER

Back in 2002, the conservative columnist Jonah Goldberg wrote in the Los Angeles Times that Brimelow, Pat Buchanan and Sam Francis [see below] “have become dismayingly obsessed in recent years with creating… an ‘identity politics for white people.’” Goldberg described Brimelow as “a once-respected conservative voice who now runs the shrill anti-immigration website VDARE.com, named for Virginia Dare, the first British child born in North America.” Goldberg also wrote that Buchanan’s book, The Death of the West “warns hysterically that the white race is becoming an ‘endangered species,’ about to be swallowed up by the duskier Third World (defined as all nonwhites no matter how rich, educated or democratic),” and that Francis “has argued earnestly for ‘imposing adequate fertility controls on nonwhites.’” Buchanan, Brimelow and Francis, Goldberg concluded, “live in denial about how to get back to the days when America was 90% white.”

SUPER-HITLER VERSUS GODZILLA

Brimelow claims that VDARE “will publish anyone, of any political tendency (or race), who has anything sensible to say about America’s immigration disaster. And that certainly includes writers, for example Jared Taylor [see below], whom I would regard as ‘white nationalist,’ in the sense that they aim to defend the interests of American whites. They are not white supremacists. They do not advocate violence. They are rational and civil. They brush their teeth.”

MOTHRA VERSUS RADIOACTIVE SUPER-HITLER

We all know that there are bigots amongst us who espouse theories of racial, ethnic or religious superiority. They have the right to express their views, however noxious, on street corners or on their websites. No one, however, is obliged to invite them to be part of polite society.

The fact that the organizers of CPAC chose to give Peter Brimelow a platform reflects on them. Why the other CPAC participants have chosen not to denounce or even distance themselves from his toxic rhetoric is a question well worth asking.

MENACHEM ROSENSAFT FIGHTS RADIOACTIVE SUPER-HITLER AND THE MECHA-NAZIS

CHAPTER ONE

“Oh vey!” screamed Rachel Goldenstein. “We don’t stand a chance against a tyrannosaur… and that’s Radioactive Super-Hitler’s Robotic ReichRex 88000!”

“Chill out, baby,” growled Menachem as he stumbled into the room, shaking Aryan blood and bits of shattered Caucasoid skull from his perfectly tousled hair and slamming a fresh magazine into his machine gun.

“I thought you were dead!” Rachel shouted as she ran to his arms and threw her pale, delicate body against his six-foot-six frame.

“Dead is relative, baby — I mean, Ms. President. It’ll take more than a gunshot to the head, a lethal nerve gas, a Luftwaffe rocket squadron, America’s restrictive immigration policy, and a good old-fashioned time paradox to stop me from rescuing the plans for the A-Bomb from the Mecha-Nazis, shooting Karl Linnas in the face, and personally fire-bombing Dresden (twice). Now let’s see about that racist robotic ReichRex…” With that, Menachem threw his gun aside and ripped off his shirt, but leaving his little round hat, I forget what it’s called — a menorah?

“You’re not… you’re not going to… wrestle the ReichRex 88000, are you?”

“Do I have a choice?” He grinned and casually leapt from the clifftop onto the mechanical Nazi dinosaur’s head. “Shalom, motherf*&$ers!”

What are the authors views on Jewish Nationalism?

I am a nationalist. Where is the tolerance for us? There is tolerance for Jewish nationalism.

I am confused, given the author’s writings in support of Jewish Nationalism. Why can’t other groups also be nationalists? Isn’t that the most effective way to support diversity around the world?

Yeah, Nationalism is terrible. Except when you’re a member of an “oppressed people” (or more accurately, a formerly oppressed people), then it’s great.

The gentleman who wrote this article has defended Israel’s right to a national homeland and identity, based on Jewishness. But he is attacking any other group, especially Whites, from doing the exact same thing. It would seem hypocritical to say the least.

One way Israel can improve its anti-immigrant image is by allowing 3 to 4 million Black Africans to immigrate to Israel and convert to Judaism.

Menachem Rosensaft supports the hardline, anti-immigration right-wing in Israel. Some of the people he supports in Israel are a lot more radical than the Americans he attacks.

This comes from a guy who — according to his job description — makes his living off of nationalist advocacy (it’s only evil when white Europeans do it) and guilt racketeering. The game is up. People are starting to wake up from the double standards, and are tired of having their history and culture trashed by this particular group which replaces true culture with mindless entertainment and physical production with usury.

Rosensaft’s message boiled down to one sentence:

“Nationalism for me but not for thee.”

I could not have said it better.

Don’t make me casually leap from a clifftop onto a mechanical Nazi dinosaur’s head, you mecha-Nazis.

Bonus controversy

As a bonus, the left-wing nutjobs at “Right Wing Watch” (from the same people against the American way who brought you “People for the American Way”) note that Youth for Western Civilization are opposed to White genocide in South Africa, which apparently qualifies them as Apartheid apologists.

As an Apartheid apologist, I assure you it does not.

The group paints a rosy picture of the Apartheid system that was in place between 1948 and 1994 where a tiny white elite controlled the government and economy and violently repressed the country’s black majority…

Look, I’ll just say it: sometimes a little violent repression is a good thing. I recommend you read Gedaliah Braun’s “Racism, Guilt and Self-Deceit.”

Youth for Western Civilization called Nelson Mandela… a “terrorist” who “has far more in common with the thugs behind the Rwandan genocide than the heroic freedom fighter he is touted to be.” “At the hands of mobs led by the ANC and murderers like Nelson Mandela who are hell bent on the rape and murder of every white in South Africa,” the group writes, “the Afrikaners are at a crossroads.”

Yup. And they gave him the Nobel Peace Prize anyway.
