Motives, part 4: white genocide

Celebrating fourteen months of Unamusement Park.
Continuing our Motives series, here’s a disturbing example of the fundamental fallacy of race relations: that disparate impact somehow implies disparate treatment.
In January 2012, the “Un-Fair Campaign” put up billboards all over Duluth, Minnesota depicting white people’s faces along with the words
It’s hard to see racism when you’re white.
The Un-Fair Campaign offers images of white faces on posters as well. These faces, though, are covered in handwritten messages such as the following, all of which are scribbled on the same white woman. (Remember, the name of the campaign is written “Un-Fair.”)
Is WHITE skin really FAIR skin?
Something as basic as the color of our skin has shaped our lives. Opened doors. Put us at the head of the line.
Granted privileges we don’t even REALIZE.
We don’t experience the daily disadvantages — the looks, the fear, the hassles — that thrive in the unspoken world of WHITE ENTITLEMENT.
And that’s UNFAIR.
And these, all scrawled on the same white man.
I am a WHITE man.
And you don’t see my color before you see my face. You don’t judge me before you KNOW me. You don’t FEAR me. You don’t secretly hope that I stay out of your neighborhood.
What you do is worse. You give me better jobs, better pay, better treatment and a better chance — all because of the color of my skin — and you DON’T even know you’re doing it.
That’s UNFAIR.
It’s easy enough to see this racism
According to Un-Fair, the billboards and posters will “raise awareness about white privilege in our community, provide resources for understanding and action, and facilitate dialogue and partnership that result in fundamental, systemic change towards racial justice.”
How do we know that Duluth, Minnesota is rife with “white privilege,” though? How did the Un-Fair Campaign discover the shocking truth — that “some of the members of our community have privileges that are unearned just because of the color of their skin and others face barriers, discrimination and disadvantages because of the color of their skin”? I wonder.
They call it unfair:
We believe that an important part of creating a community that is equitable for all of us means looking at how those of us who are over advantaged can begin to change ourselves and the institutions and systems in our community that perpetuate white privilege.
Then surely we must establish beyond all reasonable doubt that white privilege really exists, before we starting changing the entire world to disadvantage all white people.
Endgame
Consider, please: if white privilege (entitlement, whatever) exists, then “racial justice” requires its elimination. But the Un-Fair Campaign’s message is that white privilege benefits every white person in the city — even the whole country.
It shapes their lives.
Opens doors for them.
Puts them at the head of line.
Grants them privileges they don’t even realize.
It also protects them, on a daily basis, from looks, from hassles, from fear, all of which thrive in this “world of white entitlement” (implying that whites are responsible for them) and against which minorities have no defense.
Well, some minorities. The campaign chooses not to focus on Asians, for some reason…
But if all whites benefit from this privilege, then “racial justice” requires that all whites be disadvantaged — that all whites suffer. That is the only fair solution — if white privilege really exists.
We must unshape their lives.
Close doors on them.
Send them to the back of the line.
Rob them of privileges they never knew they had.
Subject them all to the daily looks, the daily hassles, the daily fear they have supposedly inflicted on racial minorities for generations.
Is this the endgame of the Un-Fair Campaign?
It is the reason I ask, again: how exactly do we know that Duluth, Minnesota is plagued by “white privilege” requiring “fundamental, systemic change” towards what the Un-Fair Campaign considers “racial justice”?
Disparate impact revisited
The campaign’s supposed evidence is as follows:
- black and American Indian poverty and unemployment;
- Peggy McIntosh’s venomous propaganda piece and “anti-racist” classic “White Privilege: Unpacking the Invisible Knapsack” (1990), which in some versions lists as many as fifty ways McIntosh claims she has “benefited from white privilege”;
- the preference of black children for white dolls over black dolls, observed in the 1940s by Clark and Clark (black) in the famous “doll test” and attributed to the “psychological effects of segregation on black children” rather than, say, a rational or at least legitimate preference on the part of black women and girls for (e.g.) characteristically European hair texture and skin tone;
- the celebrated Project Implicit, which we have already dealt with;
and so on.
As expected, the campaign’s arguments are all based on the same, fundamental fallacy: that disparate impact somehow implies disparate treatment. Follow-up posts will cover the first two points in detail. But while I was searching the Un-Fair Campaign’s website for more examples, I discovered something considerably more interesting than disparate impact.
Too many white people, too much white culture
Besides poverty, unemployment, invisible knapsacks, and black Barbie dolls no one wants, one final problem identified by the Un-Fair Campaign (for which they decline to provide a “final solution”) is that Duluth is chock full of white people with a culture distinctly their own.
Indeed, the very reason “it’s hard to see racism when you’re white” is
because the systems and institutions are set up to look like us and advantage us. It is hard to see racism when we are white because we live in a monoculture based on white northern European values, beliefs, practices and culture. We are ‘normal’.
Read these next passages carefully, please.
Duluth has had an overwhelmingly dominant white culture for a very long time. This fact has contributed to the development of a monoculture in which white norms are dominant and considered “normal.”
There has been very slight growth in the last ten years in the Black population and those identifying themselves as “Two or More Races.” American Indian and Asian populations have remained steady.
Those statistics on the black, American Indian, and Asian populations are followed by a table in which the white population of Duluth is given as 92.7% in 2000 and 90.4% in 2010.
The problem appears to be that the city’s white population is quite simply too high. “Racial justice” requires that the white share of the population be reduced, so that the culture and norms of white people can be subverted and no longer considered normal.
This goes far beyond disadvantaging whites and forcing them to suffer — far beyond looks and hassles and fear. This is the true endgame of the Un-Fair Campaign.
Challenging the white monoculture and its systems and institutions, and the privileges it creates for whites, is a necessary step in eliminating racism. Building a multi-cultural community that is fair and just for everyone requires us to do this work.
White genocide
In 1944, Raphael Lemkin coined the term “genocide” and offered the following definition in his book “Axis Rule in Occupied Europe.”
By “genocide” we mean the destruction of an ethnic group…

Generally speaking, genocide does not necessarily mean the immediate destruction of a nation, except when accomplished by mass killings of all members of a nation. It is intended rather to signify a coordinated plan of different actions

I know, I know. It’s hard to see racism when you’re white. But look real hard.
Conclusion
Is there any remaining confusion with regards to the proposition that whites are motivated by self-preservation when they insist on discussing the real reason minorities sometimes fail — the discomforting differences between the human races?
Yes, that’s why they underperform. No no, it’s not because of “white privilege.” That’s just how “anti-racists” justify genocide.

You have one group that invents computers, airplanes, trains, and cars, discovers electricity, and goes to the moon. You have another group which commits rape and murder.
It MAKES SENSE that one of those groups has (on average) more privilege. That’s the way it should be. It’d be idiotic to expect/want otherwise.
Another newsflash: It’s possible that the fact that the different groups evolved in different areas of the world for tens of thousands of years explains the differences in the first paragraph.
Look closely at the way they wrote the word “Un-Fair”, note the colouring. I didn’t notice it when I first saw the billboards, but later I spotted it and was disgusted. They are clearly going for a double meaning of “Unfair” and “Anti-White”. Sickening.

If you count the Neanderthals and Denisovans, which some races partly descended from, it becomes hundreds of thousands of years.
Let’s get down to brass tacks: the concept of “white privilege” is merely the latest shiv manufactured by that venerable old firm of Betrayalberg and Traitorstein, LLC. And now that they’ve marketed it, the Orcs will pick it up and endlessly chant it and repeat it, n’importe quoi. As planned.

Don’t even African children with no exposure to whites prefer white dolls to black dolls? I’ve heard it before, but I’m not sure how true it is. It wouldn’t surprise me if whites were seen as universally more attractive, though.

What if this privilege is just OUR culture?
Law and order, art, manners, brotherly love, fairness, justice, peace? If…
A culture to be found nowhere other than whitey pastry faced lands?
If…
Black men will bitterly cling to a white girlfriend. Even to the point of murdering her if she dumps him. It wipes out his inferior mitochlorions (tongue in George Lucas cheek there — mitochondrial DNA) and it wipes out competing white Y chromosomes. It’s gut instinct.
Simples.
It’s a basic male urge to have as many sons as you can.
Here a racial wrine appears because a black man knows his sons and daughters with a white girl will be invariably a bit better than those with a black woman. Plus white woman are more caring and less argumentative. It’s a win win. I do not blame them for coveting blondes, redheads and brunettes.

No hate, they are beneath contempt for the most part.

Videl, I do know that Haitian children display the same preference. “Surprisingly” this was not mentioned when the Supreme Court was deciding whether or not to desegregate the schools. Yes, whites do seem to be universally more attractive than blacks (both sexes).

BTW, VFR is back again.
Unfortunately, that Haitian doll finding suggests that irrational and innate racial prejudice against black and other dark skinned people does exist (in everyone, not just white people). And that white people benefit from it the most, and North East Asians and Ashkenazi Jews also benefit from it. Irrational in this case doesn’t mean incorrect, since those pale people are healthier and more successful, but that’s a random coincidence and side effect of an instinct designed for a completely different purpose.
Fortunately, most subconscious racial prejudice against black people seems to be a completely rational fear response, by part of the brain designed to evaluate threats in an instant. That was suggested by studies of drugs that block those fear responses causing people to be biased in favour of black people in those implicit association tests.
* Note, when I say “designed” I actually mean “evolved”. It’s a metaphor.
